If you have Googled my book title or looked for it at Amazon.com, you've probably noticed two books with the same title and author, but different covers.  Her Phoenix Heart was first released in 2001 by Hard Shell Word Factory.  That edition had the black cover with a phoenix in flight, grasping a heart in its talons.  When my contract with Hard Shell expired, I chose to re-issue the book through a new publisher, Booklocker.com, Inc. 

Though the story hasn't changed (with the exception of a few minor details), the new cover is more feminine and appealing.  Admittedly I am a tad biased as the rose's photographer.  The bush, a "Gertrude Jekyl" English Rose, was given to me after my dad died at the age of 84.  The year was 2004.  Another change I made in the new editon of Her Phoenix Heart was to include a "In Loving Memory" page, for the loved ones I've lost since the book's first publication.
